Jascha Narveson Beautiful ambient music that features puffs of soft noise wrapping around what sounds like distant horizon-lines of time-frozen choirs all supported by a planet-sized amount of bass pressure. Like taking a ferry to eternity, but getting a seat in the back near the engine room. Favorite track: plasmasphere (density field).

Agata Makieła Some of the deepest, most healing, most profound sounds out there, having a capacity to open and relax the mind to directly experience the universe in the process of unfolding in real time. If you surrender to the sound completely you may just be able to touch the universe breathing.

Variant has created the most powerful meditation tool I have found to date.
Thank you for your work, it is greatly valued and truly appreciated.

Smoke-Wind Having listened for a few months and collected every release, as far as I’m aware at least, this album has become my favourite Variant album. Sequential sleep[1.2] has had similar mind shifting effects but this seems to induce a more nocturnal narcotic effect, which is why I buy variant. Hopefully variant will return one day if not pretty good ending.

Deep Sky Network is a sonic travelogue derived from a library of sounds captured by NASA's Voyager 1 & 2. Inspired by the deepest reaches and depths of space as observed at the Peach Mountain Observatory near Ann Arbor, MI. This project is deeply personal and created for the purpose of vibroacoustic sonic therapy, recorded prior and during multiple surgeries and a variety of invasive and non-invasive treatments. The ultimate goal was to obtain a documented Neurological map of the subconscious mind (closely monitored by a Polysomnographic technologist at The University Of Michigan) while reducing sensations of pain via variable harmonic frequency and sub-frequency modulation to induce a serene-like state. After 3 months of data collection and analysis, one thing is quite clear -- in that the audible content stimulated brainwave frequencies in near synchronization of the external rhythm of the recordings. In essence, this is a natural phenomenon in which sound resonates synchronously with the heart and mind rhythmically responding to its dominant frequency vibrations. These opuses warmly envelope, blanket and soothe the soul while in a dream or wake state, manifesting a state of harmonic enchantment.

"The Tao never does anything, yet through it all things are done.

If we could center ourselves in it, the whole world would be transformed by itself, in its natural rhythms."

-Lao Tzu
